Vom Haus Curbeam Rottweilers Kennel is keenly focused on maintaining the original standard of the Rottweiler. We chose to remain a small kennel – doing only a handful of breeding each year – to avoid the pressures of breeding to keep up with demand. Additionally, our modest approach to breeding allows us to be highly selective in adult male and female pairings to bring our customers a new companion that embodies our values of quality, temperament, and pedigree. All while ensuring the litter of puppies produced meets the German standard and are free of any major health concerns. Our goal is to provide our customers with a pet ideal for any family including those with small children or other dogs. As an added bonus, our dogs have many Multi-Champion German Rottweilers in their pedigree, so your new companion has the potential to compete for many shows and working titles. With VHC Rottweilers Kennel, our concentration is simple...QUALITY. TEMPERAMENT. PEDIGREE.
The Rottweiler was originally bred to drive cattle to market. Later they were used to pull carts for butchers. They were among the earliest police dogs and serve with honor in the military.
Most importantly, they are popular family guardians and friends. Novice pet parents should be sure to consistently socialize your puppy and provide early training. Consistent, energetic pet parents will find a loving, faithful, and intelligent friend for life in a Rottweiler! Here at our kennel we have shortened the curve of you maintaining a rottie that has an amazing temperament. We attempt to do this early on by making certain we chose the ideal match when breeding. We do this by studying the behaviors of potential mating partners. If either dog has a history of unwarranted aggressive behavior, we will not mate the two. If they have bitten a human outside of their trained duty as a guardian or protection dog, we will not mate the two. Upon birth, we then socialize puppies with other dogs and children. Our own children are intentionally put in the whelping box and over weeks they gradually spend more time around mom and her new babies to ensure they know their human owners are safe. We also try to teach them some early commands where possible. By the time you take your new companion home, you are ahead of the curve to make sure you have ongoing positive behaviors that can be carried on with continuous training.
